YIHUA 948D III Desoldering Station with 110W Soldering Iron and Vacuum Pump
Pickup available at Digilog Electronics
Usually ready in 2 hours
The YIHUA 948D III is a 2-in-1 desoldering station that combines a vacuum desoldering gun and a 110W soldering iron in one PID-controlled unit. It removes through-hole components by melting the solder joint and sucking the solder out of the hole with a built-in vacuum pump (0.05 MPa), so parts lift out cleanly without damaging pads. In Pakistan it is often called a desoldering machine or solder sucker machine.
It is built for repair benches that pull DIP ICs, connectors, relays, transformers and power components from UPS, inverter, TV and industrial control boards, then solder the replacement part with the same station.
Key Features
- 🔧 Two tools, one station – desoldering gun and soldering iron work side by side, so you remove and re-solder without changing equipment.
- ⚡ Built-in vacuum pump – 0.05 MPa suction clears through-holes in one pull, no hand solder sucker or wick needed.
- 🌡️ PID temperature control – the station corrects temperature every 20 ms for fast heat-up and quick recovery on heavy joints.
- 🔥 110W EVO soldering iron – 200–480 °C range for everything from fine work to large ground planes.
- 📏 Three desoldering nozzles – 0.8 mm, 1.2 mm and 2.0 mm to match lead and pad size.
- 🔋 10-minute sleep and auto shutdown – drops temperature when idle to extend element and nozzle life; sleep mode can be turned off.
- ✅ Digital temperature calibration – correct the reading against a tip thermometer.
- 🧹 Easy cleaning – removable solder residue chamber with replaceable ceramic filters and filter springs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a desoldering station used for?
A desoldering station removes soldered through-hole components from a circuit board. The heated nozzle melts the joint and the vacuum pump pulls the molten solder out of the hole, leaving the pad and hole clean for the new part.
What temperature should I use on the YIHUA 948D III?
YIHUA recommends about 350–370 °C (662–700 °F) on the desoldering gun for most work. Avoid holding the nozzle on a pad for long at higher settings, as this can lift the pad.
How long does the desoldering gun take to heat up?
Set the temperature and allow about 3 minutes of preheat. The station beeps when the desoldering gun is ready. On first use, preheat for about 5 minutes, then press the trigger to clear the factory tinning from the nozzle.
Why does a new nozzle look blocked?
New nozzles come pre-tinned to protect them from oxidation. It is not a blockage: after preheating, press the trigger once and the tinning is sucked out.
Can the YIHUA 948D III remove SMD components?
It is designed for through-hole parts. For SMD and BGA work, a hot air rework station such as the YIHUA 995D+ is the right tool.
How do I stop the desoldering gun from clogging?
Fully melt the joint before pulling the trigger, adding a little fresh solder if the old joint is dry. Empty the solder chamber, clean the filter spring and nozzle with the cleaning pins, and replace the ceramic filter regularly.
Who It's For
Mobile, UPS and inverter repair technicians, PCB rework benches, electronics labs and colleges, and anyone who regularly removes through-hole components and wants clean holes on the first try.
