SC0665F 650V 6A Silicon Carbide (SiC) Schottky Diode, TO-220F

The SC0665F is a Silicon Carbide (SiC) Schottky diode rated for 650V blocking voltage and 6A forward current, packaged in a fully-molded, isolated TO-220F through-hole package. Unlike standard TO-220 packages, the TO-220F's insulated body eliminates the need for a separate mica insulator when mounting to a heatsink, simplifying assembly while maintaining good thermal performance.

Built on SiC technology, this diode offers the characteristic advantages of Schottky rectifiers over standard silicon diodes: near-zero reverse recovery time, low switching losses, and stable performance at high temperatures. These properties make it well suited for high-frequency switching applications where efficiency and thermal reliability matter, such as power factor correction (PFC) circuits, switch-mode power supplies, solar inverters, and other AC-DC/DC-DC conversion systems.

With only 2 leads (anode/cathode) and no separate tab connection exposed, the design is straightforward to integrate into existing PCB footprints for isolated diode packages.
