The 12v Negative Voltage Regulator  is available with a fixed output voltage of b12V. This device needs only one external component a compensation capacitor at the output. However  this regulator employs internal current limiting safe area protection and thermal shutdown for protection against virtually all overload conditions.

Characteristics :

• LM7912: This is a negative voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC).. That provides a fixed output voltage (typically -5V, -12V, or -15V).
• Low Ground Pin Current: This refers to the minimal amount of current flowing through the ground pin of the LM7912. This is important because it allows you to connect additional circuitry to the ground pin. Without significantly affecting the regulator's operation.
• Voltage Boosting: Although This is a technique where you use resistors to increase the output voltage of the LM7912 above its preset value.
• Resistor Divider: A network of resistors used to create a specific voltage output from a higher voltage source.
• Quiescent Current Drain: This refers to the small amount of current the LM7912 itself consumes to operate.

  Regulation: This is the ability of the LM7912 to maintain a constant output voltage even with changes in input voltage or load current.
