The BENETECH GT5307B is a professional insulation and continuity tester for motors, cables and switchgear. Besides plain insulation resistance it runs Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) tests, which show whether motor and transformer windings are dry and healthy over time.
It detects voltage on the circuit before testing, identifies AC and DC automatically, discharges the cable after the test, and warns with a red light and buzzer on over-limit or high voltage. It runs on six AA cells or an external 9V supply.
